अर्जुनविषादयोगः
arjunaviṣādayogaḥ
Dhṛtarāṣṭra asks Sañjaya what his sons and the Pāṇḍavas, assembled in holy Kurukṣetra and eager to fight, did. The powerful Bhīṣma, the grandsire and eldest of the Kurus, generated enthusiasm in Duryodhana by roaring loudly like a lion and blowing his conch. I wish to clearly see those who have assembled here, eager to fight, wanting to please the evil-minded son of Dhṛtarāṣṭra in this war. Sanjaya said: Having spoken thus, Arjuna cast aside his bow and arrows and sat down in the chariot, his mind overwhelmed by sorrow.
