💡 How to understand this

Kids explanation

In this shloka, Kṛṣṇa places Arjuna’s chariot in front of Bhīṣma and Droṇa.

Bhīṣma is Arjuna’s grandsire. Droṇa is Arjuna’s teacher. They are not ordinary people for Arjuna. He respects them very much.

Then Kṛṣṇa says, “O Pārtha, see these assembled Kurus.”

Kṛṣṇa does not say a long teaching here. He simply tells Arjuna to look.

This is important because what we see can affect our mind. If Arjuna had seen only Duryodhana, he might have remembered Duryodhana’s wrong actions. But now he sees Bhīṣma, Droṇa, and the Kuru family people assembled for battle.

The lesson is that the same situation can feel different depending on whom we see and how we see. We should learn to notice our mind and hold on to dharma.

📖 A story to remember

Kids story

A class had to choose a team leader for a school project. One boy, Arjun, was very sure that the current leader had not been fair. From far away, he thought, “This is simple. We should replace him.”

The next day, the teacher asked everyone to sit in a circle and talk. Arjun sat across from the leader. For the first time, he saw that the leader looked worried and tired. He also saw two younger children who trusted that leader and felt nervous about the change.

Arjun’s mind became softer. He still knew that the work had not been handled properly, but now he saw the people involved, not just the problem.

The teacher said, “Seeing people clearly does not mean we forget what is right. It means we must do what is right with care.”

Arjun then spoke calmly. He said, “We need a better plan, and we should help everyone understand their part.” The team changed the way it worked without hurting anyone unnecessarily.

This is like the shloka. Arjuna is placed before Bhīṣma, Droṇa, and the assembled Kurus. Seeing people directly can change the mind. We should learn to see carefully and still stay with dharma.
