Fix Mind and Intellect on Me
मय्येव मन आधत्स्व मयि बुद्धिं(न्) निवेशय ।
निवसिष्यसि मय्येव अत ऊर्ध्वं(न्) न संशयः ॥
mayyeva mana ādhatsva mayi buddhiṁ(n) niveśaya ।
nivasiṣyasi mayyeva ata ūrdhvaṁ(n) na saṁśayaḥ ॥
"Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa asks Arjuna to fix both the mind and the intellect on Him alone; then Arjuna will abide in Him alone without any doubt."

Bhagavān Kṛṣṇa now summarizes the practice of Viśvarūpa upāsanā. The instruction is not merely to think of Bhagavān occasionally, but to place the mind in Bhagavān alone: mayyeva mana ādhatsva. The mind, with its emotions, attractions, and repeated thoughts, must be trained to dwell upon Bhagavān.
But mind alone is not enough. Bhagavān also says, mayi buddhiṁ niveśaya — place the intellect in Me. The intellect should be convinced of what the mind is doing. Without understanding, devotion can become shaky. When the intellect asks, “How can this whole universe be looked upon as Bhagavān?”, it must have a clear answer.
That answer is: Bhagavān is the cause, and the universe is the effect. An effect is not separate from its cause. Ornaments are not separate from gold; furniture is not separate from wood; pots are not separate from clay. In the same way, the universe is not separate from Bhagavān. Therefore, when we handle the world, we are handling Bhagavān alone.
When this understanding becomes firm, the mind can dwell upon Bhagavān with conviction. Then Bhagavān says, nivasiṣyasi mayyeva — you will dwell in Me alone. In Viśvarūpa bhakti, there is no separation from Bhagavān, because everything is Bhagavān. Just as a wave is never away from the ocean, we are never away from Bhagavān.
